This week we will dig deep into our hearts to find out what we enjoy writing about. We will work on writing complete sentences and using the correct punctuation.
Reading:
We will set up our Reading workshop this week by learning about how to take care of our books and how to find just the right fit for our reading ability. We will practice building stamina while reading independently and will also set up our reading journals.
Math:
We will work on 2 and 3 digit place value. We will play some games and practice standard, expanded form, and pictoral models with place value. We will also focus on odd and even numbers and distinguish characteristics of both types of numbers.
Social Studies:
We will work on the life skill: Cooperation. We will practice with fun activities that encourage cooperation. We will even find out which "Fruit Ninja" we are! We will need green, blue, white, purple beads to do this. If you can donate them please let me know. We will need 25 of each kind and will string them onto a pipe cleaner so they need a hole. Thanks!
