Writing:
This week we will work on writing a story with a clear beginning, middle, and end. We will extend our writers' workshop to include an opportunity to peer edit and revise. This will include using statements that are kind and helpful to each other.
Reading:
We will continue to work on setting up our Readers' Workshop by practicing reading with a buddy, retelling a story, and recognizing the part of a story.
Math:
We will continue number sense this week by working on place value to the hundreds place. We will practice standard, expanded and block form of numbers also.
Science:
This week we are focusing on what a scientist does. We will learn about safety and the scientific process. Our first experiment will take place this week that involves a penny and water!
