Writing:
This week we will continue writing our folktale fables. We will take this writing piece through the writing process and end up with a beautiful book to share with the class.
Reading:
We will read a variety of folktales such as legends and fairy tales this week along with some fractured Texas tales. We will recognize the different elements that this genre has and even compare versions of the same story.
Math:
Multi-step problem solving will continue and we will assess how well we have mastered this skill. We will be doing "math about me" poster this week too. We will use different problems to tell about ourselves and our friends will find out more about us!
Social Studies:
We will begin some research on the states this week. We will point out location, landmarks, leaders, and traditions in certain states. We will also take our safety walk through the neighborhood and get pumped up about safety during our Bike rally on Thursday.
